Privacy notice

DataCompute Base Advisory (“we”) is the controller of personal data collected through datacomputebase.digital and through telephone or email enquiries to the practice at 49, Bandar Baru Jaya Gadi, 26070 Kuantan, Pahang, Malaysia. This notice is written for the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 as it applies to a Malaysian professional practice.

What we collect

From the enquiry form: name, organisation, email, optional telephone number, the engagement you selected, and the message you write about the file. From telephone calls: the same categories, noted by hand or in our enquiry log. From the cookie banner: a record of accept or reject stored in your browser under the key datacomputebase_cookie_consent.

We do not ask the public site for identity-card numbers, full application packs, or wallet ledgers. Those arrive later, under an engagement letter, through a channel we agree with you.

Why we use it

To answer enquiries, to decide whether we can take the work, to schedule a scoping conversation, and to keep a short record of who contacted the practice. If you become a client, enquiry data may be copied into the engagement file. We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for automated decision-making.

Legal basis

We process enquiry data because you asked us to respond (a request you initiated) and because we have a legitimate interest in running a professional practice and keeping records of who sought our work. Cookie preference storage is based on your choice on the banner.

Sharing

Hosting and email providers who run this domain and our mailbox may process data as processors. We do not share enquiry contents with other applicants. If the law requires disclosure, we will disclose only what is required.

Retention

Unsuccessful enquiries are kept for up to twenty-four months, then deleted from the enquiry log, unless a longer period is required to handle a complaint. Engagement files follow the retention period in the engagement letter, typically seven years after the closing pack.

Your rights

You may ask to access, correct, or withdraw personal data we hold about you, subject to the PDPA and to records we must keep. Write to engagements@datacomputebase.digital or to the postal address above. You may also complain to the Personal Data Protection Commissioner.

Overseas access

Our mailbox and site host may store copies outside Malaysia. We use providers who will process the data only on our instructions for hosting and email.

Children

The site is aimed at organisations preparing e-wallet applications. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
