Live or pilot wallets

Settlement and merchant payout audit

For wallets already moving money, an audit of settlement cycles, failed payouts, suspense, and the liability to merchants and customers.

Typical duration: Three to six weeks · Reconciliation findings and a cut-off pack for the application or for an internal audit committee

Card payment being made at a small merchant counter

Once a wallet is in pilot or in production, the application’s financial story has to match the settlement file, not the pitch. We audit merchant payout cycles, failed and returned credits, unclaimed balances, and the suspense accounts that quietly hold the difference.

Sampling follows the money: a merchant cohort, a week of customer top-ups, and the corresponding bank statements. We look for timing gaps that inflate float, for payouts posted before clearing, and for customer balances that cannot be rebuilt from the ledger.

Issuers preparing a variation of licence, a new wallet product, or a first independent read of a noisy settlement stack use this engagement on its own or as a module inside a full application audit.
